Maya Springboard – Week 2

First things first! SPAIN HAS WON THE WORLD CUP! That means I have to paint my face red and yellow for the next Q&A!

So far the Q&As are the most exciting part of Animation Mentor. This week we had two of them. The first one was to deal with general stuff about the animation industry. We ended up talking about Pixar sequels, the dangers of the 3D technology and whether the technique of motion-capture could conquer the industry of animation. The second one was only for Maya Springboard students though we didn’t have many questions so far due to the fact that we haven’t started the lessons themselves yet! Nevertheless, that will change in a week from now! And in a pair of days I get to know who my trainer is!

As you already now, I cannot remain still, so I’ve animated this funny guy dancing to the rhythm of “Uprising”. It’s an small experiment to practice with lights, movements of the camera and backgrounds.

Enjoy it!
